We enjoyed out time Lac Northfield very much. Aside from swimming, canoeing and fishing in the lake we climbed Mont Morrisset, visited the museum at Kitigan Zibi (highly recommended) and picked raspberries and blueberries. Our guests from France really enjoyed the Canadian lake and forest experience. The young man caught lots of sunfish and a nice pike.
One relaxing week in summer
Our one-week stay at the Harvest Moon cottage was great. We all had a good time bathing in the lake. My children’s favorite was jumping on the lily pad attached to the dock! We also enjoyed the spa. The cottage was very clean when we arrived. We felt welcomed. The stairs to the lake need to be improved. Not ideal.

Exquisite lake, well-equipped cottages
Our family has visited many times and each visit is special. The lake is beautiful and the cottages are well-equipped with quality, comfortable furnishings, beddings, linens and decorative touches. Gracefield is a short trip for groceries and the SAQ, and the chocolatier is always a favourite stop.

Nous sommes allés au chalet Flower Moon du 21 au 24 juillet 2023. Nous nous sommes beaucoup amusés. Le lac était paisible. Nous avons fait du canot, du paddle bord et nous avons bien aimé le grand matelas flottant au bord du quai. L’intérieur est confortable et bien équipé tant au niveau cuisine qu’au niveau des films et jeux de société. Je vous le recommande !

I spent a week at the moonshadow retreat and it totally exceeded my expectations. The surrounding lake and forest are so peaceful and quiet I barely heard a noise the whole time! The large wood burning fireplace was really romantic and kept us warm and cozy the whole time. They have lots of great dvd’s and satellite tv and there are several stores close by where we were able to pick up local tortiere, sausages and baked beans which were all soooo good! The beds were super comfy and I slept amazing. Finally the hot tub is not to be missed and right at the bottom of the front entrance could be enjoyed all winter long and easily fits several adults. If you are looking for a relaxing getaway this place can’t be beat! I can’t wait to go back in the warmer months but highly recommend even in the colder months!
Coming back again and again!
This was our third year staying at HarvestMoon and FlowerMoon cottages, as a group of friends and our kids. It’s a wonderful weekend we spend together each fall, enjoying the foliage, campfires and hot tub, as well as exploring the lake. We always have a great time in this clean, well-kept space, and sleep comfortably, with plenty of towels and warm bedding.

Thank you so very much for sharing your beautiful cottage with us, it was beyond our expectations. The cottage is very well equipped. The kitchen was just like at home, absolutely everything you could possibly need. Plenty of towels and linen, the washer and dyer was also a bonus. The hot tub was a plus for sure. We were 7 adults and there was plenty of rooms for everyone. Simone was extremely accommodating and responsive with clear directions and expectations which made for a very easy check in and check out. We were looking for a private and quiet spot to enjoy a few days away from the city and this was the perfect place. We will be recommending your cottage to our family and friends, and we will definitely be back.

Great get away
We spent our second Labour Day weekend at the Harvest Moon cottage this year and again had a great time. The lake was even warmer this time and the view in the morning is fantastic. Thank you for adding the lilly pad, the second kayak and the second paddle board. Everyone could be on the water at the same time. 🙂 Much appreciated.
